Flames of war game Wednesday night

Wednesday night Craig and a new player Steve came around home and we had a game to show him how the game works, I think he had a lot of fun. This was his first game after collecting fow for over ten years

In the picture above Craig races up on the right and destroy's my marder, not nice
I decide to send in the re-enforcements not a good idea
While on Steve's side of the board alls quite except for a few stuarts hiding behind the church
Craig decides to peel of and attack Steve's Mark Iv not a good idea

Will i ever learn, don't put the marders out in the open, all they do is die

So as craig does he swings to the left and everything comes out to presure steve this time
Steve proves to be a good shot, where as all i can role is ones and two's
It's not looking good for Craig as this picture seems to show and we no are contesting the objective on our right
But anyone who's played Craig knows as long as the games playing he is dangerous and he suddenly swings back to the right and is contesting our objective he bails my IV , i pull back two III's to contest
Steve tries to destroy as much as he can and puts craig under half strength, we both try and destroy craigs commander in chief but fail craig destroyed my III's the turn before so it comes down to a role if he roles a 4 or better he wins a 3 or less we in and you guessed it he roled a 4game to Craig, i still need to remember to protect those objectives better. a great fun game for steve's first

28mm/15mm figures in process wip

these guys need their flags and a couple of figures still need a bit of touching up
I based these up on Saturday  now for the base colours and grass

These figres i start  a couple of weeks ago  they a second hand front rank figures the ones at the front i started from scratch the one at the back i repainted the faces and the straps

It's always good to have something being undercoated , but when you are like me and have draws of undercoated figures ready to paint i'm not so sure it's a great idea, here we have a fow 88 box set that i got off Steve in the weekend

Borodino 2012

Well it's about time i started looking towards re fighting Borodino I think there are 24 players and huge amounts of figures we will be playing on the 8-9 September. So today i took a look at what i have ready to go .

7 Battalions of Guard infantry
11 Battalions of line infantry
2 Battalions of elite infantry
If they go for 6 stands per cav
1 Grenadier a Cheval
3 Dragoons
2 Cuirarssier
2 12 pdrs
7 6pdrs
3 howitzers
1 gun and limber
10 command figures
1 Napoleon command stand
plus 8 skirmishers
Here's a couple of pics of the army so far i hope to have 5 more infantry complete even if they aren't needed and two of chasseur cav

French Imperial Guard wip update 2

Can the prat that stuffed up my my text piss off and find something useful to do with there lives
As you can see from my fine words above someone decide to white out my words what a dick
Obviously has no talent of there own so decides to muck other peoples blogs up.
Anyway this is where i'm at with this weeks work
One thing i hate about these victrix figures is the bayonets they just break so easily i must have broken 5 plus today i noticed a standard was broken as well, if only they had a better plastic like the Perry figures. Is it just me or does anybody else have this problem
