28mm Foundry Ecw infantry

Here we have the Kent trained band Regiment, I've finished another two Regiments but can't post them quite yet as they are part of the comp and must be up for a while first.
Not sure what i'll end up doing with all these guys as i haven't gamed this period, but i do enjoy the look of them when they are all put together. I undercoated the cav tonight and have only about 70 infantry left to paint.
I do like the foundry miniatures they come up really nice

  4. Very nice, I like that you have a few mixed uniforms which is correct as even the Trained Bands failed to keep up full uniform even on their more limited campaigns.

Forlorn Hope are supposed to be good rules, been a long time since I have played and I am planning on writing my own as the ECW was rather different to any other war of the period, even the Irish wars of the same time period and involving in some cases the same troops failed to be quite the same.

  5. Those look very nice. It's cool the way you've based them still allows you to change formations readily.

  6. Nice work mate. I really like the colors on these guys. I have one box of Warlord Plastic ECW infantry left to paint maybe I will paint them up like these guys. The last time I checked on the points for this contest you were like way way ahead on points, keep it up.

    Cheers

What's the source on the flag for the Trained Band? I may end up painting them, so I am quite interested!

The flags come from ahttp://www.quindia.com/studioart08.htm a very fine painter, it was his painting that made me decide it was time to embark on a process of improve my painting skills which i'm still looking for anything that will help me. The flags are free just save as picture, i print them out at work on the digital copier
