Earth quake 7.1

Last night we were woken up by a rather large earth quake man  it was scarry everyone got up and stood in the door ways it seemed to do on forever, and then there were after shooks throughout the night so not much sleep. here's some photos from a friend in Christchurch, there is no damage here in good old timaru but two hours up the road its a bit different story there's a lot of damage there.the great news is that there has been no deaths amazing probaby because it was 4.30 in the morning everyone was in bed.

  2. Thanks guys i'd prefer not to go through another night like that with all the after shocks, The damage to my house just seems to be cracked roofs nothing of any worth feel off the shelves, still getting the odd after shock here and there it's a weird feeling the earth moving under your feet quite disconcerting

  7. It was a good start to the day, we were just feeding baby and all hell broke loose. Lucky the water came on about half hour ago but central CHCh looks like a warzone and we are in a lockdown round my place. Our garage is in bits and all my wargames stuff is scattered all over the place

    Glad everyone is ok.

  8. We got off very lightly down here Kent and even CHCh is lucky not to have had a large loss of life, the clean up will be immense!

  10. Might be time to buy a lottery ticket! Amazing, and gratifying, to hear that no lives lost (lead or real).
