28mm Early Crusades army by Perry finished

I must admit i have rushed the basing of these guys and will probably go back and touch up a few bits on the figures but it was time get started on the next commission a 15mm persian army.
This is the first batch of my early Crusades army which i have really enjoyed painting, i have put aside the cavalry for now and will probably paint the rest of the infantry before i start them.
most of the shield designs a saw on little bigmen studios, i would seriously think about buy some but i always paint my own. If you have any suggestions for the next bacth let me know

  1. Fantastic Kent- I need to get cracking on my Syrians to oppose them- and of course you need to do the Cavalry!

I've just started the new Conquest Normans- I know that you have a dislike of plastics but these are superb, best plastics I've seen so far and I'll be using these instead of Perry's for my Normans and Crusaders- maybe with a few Perry command figures.

I'm about to order Syrian Cav from Perry Minis as I don't like the Old Glory ones I've got.

Love what you've done with the figures- great looking bases!

  4. None!

It is a system sometimes referred to as Big Base DBA- We (I) prefer 8cm base widths to 6cm (WRG/DBX)

Modern figures fit much better on 8cm widths :) We mainly play Impetus- fast, fun and more tactically fulfilling than DBA.With 8cm widths rather than the suggested 12cms for Impetus the flanks get to be more useful and you get to field more stuff on table- a win win as far as I'm concerned.

Can't wait till Kent has finished this project so he can stop using my Norse-Irish! Although I hope my Vikings can get one last crack at them this week- eh Kent?
