I've been working away on these this week today i gloss coated them with clear plastic spray and then dull coated them and based them ready to start work on the bases tomorrow. I'm still waiting for my different grasses and flowers to arrive from malestrom games.
I'm really pleased with the progress so far
Looks great! I love the tribesmen colourful appearance. Looking forward to more to come.

They are lovely, Kent. That is one of LBMS nicest shield sets, makes me wonder why I've not painted mine! ;-)

Top work there Kent, well I hope the stuff your waiting for is not Senics stuff as their stock is almost zero (no matter what it says on the website), I know as I have been in and the stand is almost empty! They are terrible for taking orders for stuff they don't have!! Though they will re-stock, problem is I always get a stock answer of we order from them every two weeks which may be correct for some companies but that stand has been empty for months!

Lovely stuff Kent :)
ReplyDeleteJust out of interest - what is the white stuff on the bases?
gorgeous troups. Let's hope they'll do well against Romans
ReplyDeleteDribble, dribble, dribble, mouthwateringly beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteHi guys the white stuff is pollyfiller from the local hardware store i'll add a little sand on top most of the time i press it in while its wet but forgot, I paint this with a flat black enamel turps mix 50/50. to much turps and you get grey which is no good, the mixt soaks into the pollyfiller so even if it was ti chip it's still dark and as it soaks in it goes around the figure bases making life easier, then i paint ( dry brush) it with three coats of paints
ReplyDeleteStunning work! Really, really love the shields.
