I started work on these guys last weekend there's around 70 of them and have done three nights work so far they still need detail yet but they are starting to come together I'm hoping to start work on the infantry this coming week, my wife and daughter are away at school camp so should be able to fit in a spot of painting sadly they are taking the camera so no shots until friday. Hope you like. I know very little about this era and hope i haven't made to may mistakes. This is a commission for John up north,hope you like

weird I am painting Xystron version of this..we seem to run in parrale ..white/grey horses were always reserved for high ranking officers and commanders..the Persian didn't like white markings on their horses and you still have those genetically challenged bay horses I see..
ReplyDeletevery nice color selection and shading. This will be a fantastic looking army. You have just enough variation to make them look suitable eastern with just enough regularity to make them look military.

ReplyDeleteI paint those horse just to play with your mind Conrad. Xyston figures are far nicer figure much sharper easier to paint these Old glory figures are a real pain to paint.
