15mm Macedonian pike bock(1) finished plus 28mm AWI test figure
I started work on these on Monday and 8 hours later here we are first of two pike blocks 32 figures each done, hope you like AJ and i also had time tonight to do the British AWI figure as well
Man, I hope my Foundry 28mm Silver Shields come out as good as you painted these 15mm figures. They're excellent (both your painting and the sculpting). Dean
WOW!These are AWESOME! I particularly like the shading on the linen armor and the extra detail on the officer and musician. Most of all as DeanM said, the shields are fantastic.
The 28mm AWI figure is exceptional as well. I'll definitely be saving up my money to commission some 28mm AWI from you.
I hope you don't mind, I pinched a couple of these photos to use on my blog. I wanted to make a post showing everyone your excellent work and hopefully giving you a nice recommendation to my readers.
I think it is very funny that I can read one blog where the buyer discusses commishing some figures, and then I can click on another and see the work being done!:D
thanks guys for the comments as a painter its always nice to hear what you think and these figures are so nice to paint great detail, I'm starting the next pike bloke today this one will have at least 5 colours and off white linen so i'll see you when its done

Its incredible to see 15mm painted this way. I can only hope with practice that my 15mm Flames of War look like this.
ReplyDeleteWhat size brushes do you use ???

ReplyDeleteReal nice
ReplyDeleteExcellent Macedonians. They must absolutely brilliant on table. What's next from this range?
ReplyDeleteWell I commissioned 2 Seleucid pike blocks and a unit of Xystophoroi lance-armed cavalry. The latter is for my Atillid Pergamene Roman allies.

ReplyDeleteKent,
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question, the linen color you show in this archive post is great for the 2nd block.
